This personal website presents my research and writing. It has no advertising or visitor analytics. Fonts, styles and the resources used to display equations are served by the website itself.

Cookies and analytics

The current site code does not set cookies, use browser storage, or include analytics or advertising trackers. The interactive figures calculate their results in your browser; their controls do not send your inputs to a server.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

When you visit, requests include technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, time of access and browser information. This processing supports delivery and security of the website, based on the legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cloudflare may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Its privacy policy and data processing addendum explain its processing and international-transfer safeguards.

Fonts and mathematical notation

Literata and Instrument Sans are hosted locally. Equations are rendered with KaTeX when the site is built, and the required styles and mathematical fonts are hosted locally too. Displaying these pages does not require requests to Google Fonts, jsDelivr or another external asset provider.

Email contact

Clicking an email link opens your email application. If you write to me, I use your address and message to handle your enquiry and any resulting correspondence. Depending on the enquiry, this is based on my legitimate interest in responding (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or steps relating to a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Correspondence is retained for as long as needed for that purpose or to meet applicable legal obligations.

Links to publications, Google Scholar, OpenReview and GitHub lead to independently operated websites. Following a link sends a request to that website, where its own privacy notice applies.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, subject to the conditions for each right. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent for the future. Contact me using the email address above for questions or requests.

You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna.
